COMMUNITY
The wind farm will deliver £687,000 to five Community Council areas over the life of the development (Kirkcolm, New Luce, Old Luce, Portpatrick and Stoneykirk). The first round of fund payments is expected to be delivered in January 2011.
The fund is being administered by Solway Heritage. If you live in one of the above communities and have an idea for a project which could be supported by the fund, contact Solway Heritage or your local Community Council for details.

First Community Payments Announced
Over £34,000 has been approved for local communities to spend on a variety of projects such as a community hall refurbishment, upgraded camping equipment for a Scouts club, new Christmas lights, funding community outings and a greenhouse for a primary school.
We look forward to seeing the finished results of the first round of payments during 2011.
