Wind Turbines

Vestas Celtic Wind Supply Ltd are an internationally recognised leader in wind turbine technology. The turbines installed are 2MW Vestas V80's - a popular and high-performing machine with over 3,700 been installed around the world since 1999. The turbine towers and blades are produced in Denmark. The Vestas website has full details and specifications of these turbines.

Electricity Connection

The electricity from the site is connected into the local distribution line via an onsite switch station to a substation at Lochans.  Electricity is sold to E.ON via a long term supply agreement.
