Environmental Impact

An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a rigorous, lengthy and comprehensive process requiring experts in the fields of Ecology, Landscape, Noise, Aviation, Archaeology, Transportation and Construction.

These expert assessors evaluated the current environmental conditions at the site. They assessed how the North Rhins wind farm will effect the environment, and whether any resultant changes in conditions are deemed acceptable or unacceptable.

The assessors use “best practice guidelines” wherever such guidelines exist and call upon the numerous local, regional and central government policies on such matters.

The subsections provide information on the work undertaken during the EIA.
