Aviation - To ensure that the proposed wind farm will not cause any interference to telecommunications, radar, broadcast or other communications links, a specialist company was appointed to consult all the relevant operators to discuss whether there are likely to be any problems with a wind farm in this area.
No problems are envisaged based on the findings of this consultation to date, but appropriate mitigation will be implemented if any arise.
Community, social and tourism effects of the proposals were assessed and considered jobs creations, inward investment, local amenity and tourism.
Air quality assessment – this assessment focused on global climate and local air quality. The assessment evaluated potential effects on local air quality that may arise as a result of the proposals, including analysis of pollution associated with traffic and ambient dust that may occur during the construction and decommissioning phases.
